Questions about billing
VAT, the trial, limits, cancellation and what happens to your records.
Do prices include VAT?
No. Every price is shown without VAT. At checkout, Stripe Tax works out the tax that applies from your billing address and your VAT ID and prints it on the invoice.
Business customers in the EU who enter a valid VAT ID are generally invoiced under the reverse-charge mechanism where it applies, so no VAT is added and you account for it locally. Otherwise VAT is added at the rate of your country.
Is there a trial?
The Free plan has no time limit. Paid plans start with a 14-day trial, once per workspace. A card is required to start it; nothing is charged until the trial ends, and you can cancel before then from Billing settings.
What happens when we reach a plan limit?
Limits only gate what is new: when a workspace is at its limit of products, members or monthly SBOM uploads, the next one waits for an upgrade. Nothing already recorded is touched, cases and ledgers keep working, and exports of your own data remain available.
How do we cancel or change plans?
From Billing settings, through the Stripe customer portal, at any time. A cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have paid for; you keep the plan until then and the workspace returns to the Free plan’s limits afterwards.
If a payment fails, the plan stays in place for 14 days while Stripe retries and the workspace shows a notice. After that the limits drop to the Free plan until the payment succeeds.
What happens to our records if we downgrade or leave?
Nothing is deleted by a downgrade or a cancellation. The evidence ledger, the reports and the documents stay readable in the workspace, and exports remain available, so the record the Act expects you to keep for ten years stays yours. Deleting a workspace is a separate, explicit action by its owner.
Can we pay in US dollars?
Yes. The same figures apply in euro and in US dollars; choose the currency at checkout and invoices are issued in it. Annual billing costs 10 times the monthly price in either currency.
